UK Minister for Culture to Convene Meeting on Israeli Football Club Fan Ban
The law enforcement official from the West Midlands has called for an urgent review of the ruling to ban the Israeli team's fans from being present at the forthcoming match.
Simon Foster, who oversees the police department, explains that this appeal aims to verify whether the prohibition is suitable, necessary, justified, sensible, and a proportionate measure to achieve a lawful objective.
"This should involve consideration of all and any possible suitable, alternative options," Foster adds.
He has also requested to review the written decision and suggestion from the advisory group, along with the police assessment.
The commissioner stresses, however, that the ultimate ruling belongs to the committee and the authorities.
