The Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Zodiac Sign
This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement within the fandom. From the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions before the game's launch, to trainers developing strong views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought naturally: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost selected for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes Aries much more akin to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when provoked. Remain on the friendly side of either and enjoy a strong ally; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, both in its regular and Super Form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several past Pokédex entries mention their fondness for sweet tree sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it all, which is true Taurus energy.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. You cannot tell me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, offering an endless fountain of chatter to those who wish to hear. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s official description also mentions its capacity to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
The Crab is widely regarded as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a intense symbol known for often becoming absorbed in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. It is also recognized for its capability to make a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the identical vibe a Leo offers to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, albeit for aliens.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected across this creature's whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how people are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to stress more about others.
Scorpio – Super Banette
Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Spirit/Flame typing fits perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general intimidating aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s description says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
