Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions
The Gunners' ten-match victorious run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international break, but can the English top division leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, readers and a range of special visitors.
For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
The singer's latest album, the new release, is out on Friday.
Soccer and Parenting Life
Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or son decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.
"I won't force football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their weekend soccer side," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a period too.
"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be fairly close, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' sole on the road victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was still that team's coach.
Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
The guest's prediction: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the season started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four matches.
A family member advised me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's team pose much more of a threat.
The analyst's forecast: 2-1
Olly's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be quite close. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
Fulham have have plenty of talent in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.
As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.
Their display in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.
But I am not do that. Instead, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's home form, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
Olly's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
