Netflix Chooses Perfect Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the major clash isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The platform declared recently that the talented performer has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Mr. 2. The role has the ability to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will portray a interpretation of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action series, unlike the source material and animated series.
Escola will work alongside several other fresh additions tasked with bringing the group to reality, featuring head the main antagonist, brought to life by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the lineup as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Though this character is a key figure of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this represents a significant shift in the timing of their first appearance, one that could suggest more adjustments to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.
Netflix's live-action One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10, 2026.
