Administration Decries 'Democrat Fabrication' as Additional Epstein Estate Photographs Released
House Democrats have made public a new tranche of what they described as "disturbing" pictures from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 images—some of which have been previously circulated—plus another 70 issued later on Friday account for a small number of the almost 100,000 images handed over to the House investigative panel, which is looking into the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The disgraced financier died by apparent suicide in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking crimes.
Prominent Personalities in the Photos
Included in the high-profile individuals seen in the first release are public figures such as film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump appears in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Statement
The White House responded to the release in a statement, alleging Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the images for political purposes and to "try and create a false account."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative remarked, asserting that "the current government has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have at any point by consistently demanding disclosure, releasing reams of documents, and calling for further investigations into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Panel Member Statement
The photos were released devoid of explanation, but according to a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the oversight committee, they raise more questions about Epstein's connections to affluent people.
"Now is the occasion to stop this White House concealment and deliver justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he declared in a statement.
The publication of these documents comes as the oversight committee continuing its inquiry into the affair.
